You will also be responsible for embedding security measures within our enterprise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with IT and security teams to design, implement, and sustain secure enterprise architectures that comply with internal guidelines and industry best practices.
- Administer and optimize endpoint security solutions to provide protection, detection, response, and recovery functionalities, including anti-malware, EDR, forensics, and email/web security.
- Establish monitoring systems that facilitate continuous asset inventory and posture assessment, thereby improving our configuration and vulnerability management initiatives.
- Enhance and uphold system hardening and secure configuration protocols for both server and client endpoints, covering Linux, MacOS, and Windows platforms.
- Design, implement, and oversee network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, 802.1x, proxies, wireless, zero trust) in collaboration with IT to ensure secure and scalable global network infrastructures.
- Maintain and upgrade our existing security tools, including EDR, SIEM, VPN, DLP, and CSPM.
- Develop security automation capabilities (e.g., SOAR) to enrich security data feeds, automate critical security event remediation, and execute various security playbooks.
- Improve SIEM functionalities to consolidate visibility across all security technology outputs, enabling ongoing monitoring, incident detection, analysis, forensic artifact collection, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Engage in security support escalations, incident response, red team and penetration testing exercises, bug bounty initiatives, and audit assistance.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communication materials for management and teams throughout the organization.
- Foster a culture of transparency, information sharing, and collaboration through comprehensive documentation, mentoring of junior team members, and embodying Flexport's core values.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of security experience in a dynamic global environment.
- At least 3 years of experience with SIEM and security orchestration technologies, including automating security tasks using languages such as Go, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
- 3+ years of experience with endpoint, web, and email protection technologies.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architectures and traditional network perimeter controls, such as firewalls and VPNs.
- Experience collaborating across functions to drive internal security projects and incident remediation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- A compliance-oriented mindset to ensure satisfaction among regulators, given our operations in a heavily regulated sector.
