Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Utility Aide to join our team at Senior Living Communities. As a Utility Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the dining functions of our campus by providing various services in the areas of food preparation, dishwashing, sanitation, and supply management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef/Director of Dining Services with food and supply inventory management.
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and free of debris, adhering to sanitation programs and schedules.
  • Assist in meal preparation, managing portion control and special diets.
  • Receive, inspect, and store supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Remove trash and monitor garbage cans and sites related to dietary services.
  • Wash, scrub, and dry dishes, utensils, and equipment, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment checks on dishwashing equipment.
  • Transport dishes to the main kitchen for cleaning.
  • Set up and break down member/resident events as assigned.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position desired.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing conditions.
