Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with research teams to articulate study objectives and formulate relevant statistical hypotheses.
  2. Assist in determining suitable study designs to meet research goals effectively.
  3. Develop comprehensive statistical analysis plans, including calculations for power and sample size, to support funding applications and ethical review processes.
  4. Manage data through various tasks, including:
  • Consulting on the creation of data collection instruments.
  • Monitoring data entry and conducting interim analyses.
  • Integrating and merging datasets from multiple sources.
  • Establishing data cleaning protocols and performing database manipulations using software such as SAS and R.
Analyze data distributions using graphical representations and summary statistics to identify anomalies and rectify issues.Conduct statistical tests to evaluate research hypotheses using appropriate methods for different data types.Develop multivariable models for hypothesis testing and predictive analytics.Implement strategies to mitigate biases and address complexities such as overdispersion and repeated measures.Summarize statistical findings through visual aids, tables, and written narratives.Draw informed conclusions from statistical analyses, recognizing the strengths and limitations of the data.Document analytical procedures and contribute to the preparation of research publications and presentations.Present statistical findings to stakeholders, enhancing understanding and application of results.Perform additional duties as required to support the research mission.
