Overview:
The Maintenance Engineer II plays a crucial role in executing Preventative Maintenance tasks across various facilities.

The Maintenance Engineer II is tasked with repairs and upkeep, which may include but are not limited to:
wall coverings, painting, tile work, basic HVAC maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems.

The Maintenance Engineer II collaborates with the Engineering Supervisor and/or Chief Engineer to strategize and implement Preventative Maintenance for all guest accommodations in alignment with the Annual Task Schedule and adhering to company and brand standards.


Responsibilities:
Level One

Complete necessary training and possess a thorough understanding of job expectations, property standards, and seek clarification during pre-shift meetings.

Specific Responsibilities for this Role:
Provide general maintenance skills.

Perform necessary repairs in guest rooms and public areas to ensure property standards are met.

Understand and coordinate the completion of Preventative Maintenance on all rooms, areas, and equipment.

Utilize the comprehensive Unit PM Checklist to facilitate identified repairs.

Return the PM Cart to the Engineering PM closet and assist in restocking from in-house inventories.

Execute all assigned tasks in conjunction with the PM Team Captain and PM Engineer, including:

- Door hardware, gaskets, and thresholds
- Wall covering repairs
- Touch-up painting
- Ceiling vent maintenance
- Ceiling condition checks
- Lighting fixture inspections
- Small and large appliance checks
- Electronics functionality (TVs, remotes, alarm clocks, etc.)
- Carpet wear and loose threads
- Furniture stability and drawer alignment
- Electrical outlet functionality and cover placements
- HVAC unit operations
- Closet rods, towel bars, and grab bars security
- Plumbing fixture checks
- Drapery hardware assessments

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on major equipment, including:

- Laundry equipment
- Kitchen appliances
- Air handlers
- Pumps and motors

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of two years in building maintenance or a related field, with relevant courses in building maintenance and construction.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.


Certification: Professional tradesman certification in at least one discipline (electrician, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.

Skills: Ability to multitask and stay organized within specific time frames.

Demonstrated positive attitude and work ethic to achieve optimal operational efficiency while ensuring guest satisfaction standards are met.
