Job Summary

The Child Watch Attendant is a per-diem position responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable childcare environment for the children of our patients. This role involves supervising and engaging children in various activities while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor children's play activities.
  • Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games and group activities.
  • Read to children and teach them basic skills.
  • Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
  • Communicate effectively with children, their parents, and other staff members.
  • Sanitize toys and play equipment.
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties.
  • Adhere to all JHC policies and procedures, including safety standards and confidentiality regulations.
  • Cross-train for other non-medical JHC positions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year or more of previous childcare experience.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogen, Child Abuse Training, Drug and Alcohol Abuse training certifications, and Food Handler's Card.
  • TB test clearance.
  • Knowledge of basic care principles for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
  • Responsible, patient, understanding, and articulate.
  • Energy and physical stamina.
  • Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to illnesses and injuries.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background investigation.
