Job Summary

The Front Desk Attendant is a key member of the Itasca Park District team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the Registration Desk. This role requires a strong ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process registrations, cancellations, and memberships accurately and efficiently
  • Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about park facilities, programs, and services
  • Maintain accurate records of billing and transactions
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with patrons, staff, and the community
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn special recreation software packages
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required
Working Conditions

The Front Desk Attendant will work in an office setting with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting, with moderate to high noise levels. The position requires the ability to lift heavy weights, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.

The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including non-latex gloves, Microshield, and Automated External Defibrillator.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $15.00 per hour.
