About the Role

As the Assistant Director of Finance, you will serve as the financial steward for a prominent hospitality entity. This role involves overseeing the daily functions of the accounting department. You will collaborate with the hotel’s leadership team, providing essential financial insights ranging from analysis and reporting to accounting and bookkeeping. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Accounts Payable and cash management operations.
  • Analyze, assess, and interpret financial data to offer recommendations aimed at maximizing profitability while ensuring adherence to operational protocols, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).
  • Assist the hotel’s leadership in fostering a robust accounting and operational control framework to protect assets, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate business risks.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of hotel accounting practices and their intersection with hotel operations.
  • Collaborative mindset with a consultative approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
