Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the Texas Health & Human Services Commission. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection.
  • Assist other medical staff in examining and caring for patients.
  • Make rounds and/or home visits as needed.
  • Perform basic and routine nursing tasks according to facility and state regulations.
  • Monitor individuals' weight, diet, feedings, and vital signs.
  • Document and report pertinent treatments and observations in the individual's medical record.
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice as a licensed vocational nurse in the state of Texas or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Graduation from an LVN program.
  • Nursing experience is preferred.
