Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking an Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to join its established and growing cardiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrophysiology clinical services and support, including assessment and monitoring of patients with Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and record physical examinations on inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients, developing diagnoses and plans of care, and ordering necessary testing, diagnostics, and medications.
  • Manage ordered tests, including providing patient results, ordering additional testing, and returning patient messages.
  • Monitor devices, including interrogation, management, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with device implantation, including pre-op assessments, management of issues, completing admissions, inpatient care, and discharges.
  • Monitor and manage remote websites and investigate/triage transmissions.
  • Evaluate urgent CIED patients.
  • Train RNs, technicians, and NPs on electrophysiology basics, including the function, monitoring, and assessment of patients with electrophysiological abnormalities.
  • Perform Tilt Table Testing according to defined protocol.
  • Develop and implement device clinical protocols.
  • Contribute to clinical research planning and execution.
  • Travel to multiple Heart Center locations.

Requirements

  • NYS License and Board Certification
  • Cardiology experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
