Culinary Specialist

Job Summary

At Sunrise Senior Living, we are committed to providing high-quality care and services to our residents. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals in a timely and safe manner, while adhering to all food safety and sanitation requirements. You will also be responsible for managing food production, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring that all cooking equipment is in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in a timely and safe manner
• Manage food production, including ordering and inventory management
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils
• Ensure that all cooking equipment is in good working order
• Collaborate with the Dining Services Coordinator to ensure that all meal service requirements are met

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in food preparation, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
