Job Summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our computer systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Endpoint Support: Manage and support endpoint devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and thin clients, throughout their lifecycle.
  • IT Policy Adherence: Adhere to and promote IT policies and standards to ensure consistent and secure IT operations.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support at our sites, including rotating shifts, to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues.
  • ITIL Processes: Follow ITIL processes, such as change, incident, and problem management, to ensure efficient and effective IT service delivery.
  • SOX Compliance: Comply with and execute SOX controls to ensure the integrity and security of our IT systems.
  • Issue Resolution: Take ownership of reported issues and see them through to resolution, providing prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
  • Technical Advisory: Serve as a technical advisor to management and end-users, ensuring they have the necessary IT equipment to be successful.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate IT equipment, software, and license inventory in our Asset Management Tool.
  • Software and Hardware Installation: Install, upgrade, and replace selected software and hardware products according to Avery Dennison standards.
  • Vendor and Team Collaboration: Work closely with service vendors, other IT teams, and personnel to ensure continuity of service and effective IT resource utilization.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training on Avery Dennison's software and computer systems, including group presentations, one-on-one training, and onboarding.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a business or technology field preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience, including 3-5 years of routine software installations and program updates, and 3-5 years of routine troubleshooting and problem resolution on computer, server, network, and telecommunication systems.
  • Skills: Understanding and experience with information systems environments and systems; basic understanding of ICT infrastructure; good verbal, data entry, and written skills; communicative in speaking and writing in local language and English.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexible, initiative, self-motivated, and creative in finding solutions; team player combined with independent working; ability to interface with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.
