The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit organization, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intake and Beneficiary Services Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting intake interviews and screenings to determine applicants' eligibility for our Adult Rehabilitation Centers programs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for completing intake paperwork, preparing beneficiary records, and ensuring compliance with established program policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct intake interviews and screenings to determine applicants' eligibility for our Adult Rehabilitation Centers programs
- Complete intake paperwork and prepare beneficiary records
- Ensure compliance with established program policies and procedures
- Orient new beneficiaries to the program, explaining requirements, rules, and regulations
- Prepare and maintain chronological records of beneficiary activity and progress
- Serve as a liaison to outside agencies, Probation Officers, and courts
- Assist beneficiaries in applying for social security, food stamps, identification cards, and other documents
- Administer the food stamp program and coordinate various other programs
- Two-year college or technical school degree in social work or a related field
- Two years of progressively responsible experience performing social services, public assistance work, or clerical work
- Ability to effectively listen, meet attendance requirements, read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to type and keypunch information into a computer, sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically, and operate general office equipment
The work environment is a normal office setting with little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
