Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Wound Care plays a crucial role in delivering specialized nursing care under the guidance of healthcare providers and registered nurses. This position emphasizes the development and execution of tailored nursing care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and address patient needs effectively.
- Utilize foundational nursing principles and assessment skills to provide high-quality care.
- Maintain compliance with the defined scope of practice for LPNs.
Qualifications:
- Current Maryland Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA is required.
- Wound Care Certification must be obtained within two years of employment.
- Ostomy Management Specialist certification is preferred within two years of hire, if applicable.
- Certification as a Hyperbaric Technician is advantageous within two years of hire, if applicable.
- Completion of a 40-hour UHMS approved Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy course within one year of hire, if applicable.
- 1-3 years of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
