Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications and provide pharmacological information to the healthcare team while monitoring patient drug therapies.
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure the safe preparation of medications.
- Dispense medications through compounding, packaging, and labeling.
- Monitor drug therapies and provide recommendations for interventions.
- Oversee pharmacy operations by managing technician workflows and verifying the accuracy of pharmaceutical preparations.
- Respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals and counsel patients regarding their medications.
- Enhance the pharmacological knowledge of hospital staff through participation in clinical programs and training.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal drug regulations by conducting inspections and maintaining accurate records.
- Supervise support personnel and maintain the integrity of the pharmacy inventory.
Technology: Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Wyoming pharmacist license or be eligible to obtain one.
- At least 1 year of inpatient, clinical, or infusion pharmacy experience.
- Availability for full-time work.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
Compensation: Competitive salary offered.
