Baptist Health Care seeks a skilled Patient Safety Specialist to play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety within our organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to utilize their skills and knowledge to enhance patient safety, while overseeing the development of a comprehensive patient safety improvement program.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement evidence-based solutions. They will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient safety initiatives, including participation in root cause analysis and failure mode effect analysis.
  • Facilitate the Patient Safety Committee by developing agendas, managing attendance and minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in patient safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborate with quality professionals and clinical leaders throughout the organization on patient safety initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in hospital patient safety, risk management, or quality improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Master's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Florida upon hire.

Estimated Salary: $92,500 - $122,000 per annum.
