We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Lincoln Public Schools. This is a 12-month custodial services position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Perform custodial cleaning duties in a public high school setting, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment and machinery, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with snow removal and other outdoor duties as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other custodial staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous custodial experience in a public or private building preferred.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly and carry heavy objects up and down stairs.
- Physical stamina to perform duties for extended periods.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The custodian must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe environment.
