Job Summary:

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing clinical nutrition services to include Assessments, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Nutrition Education, and follow up. This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition and its impact on patient health. The ideal candidate will be able to implement nutrition care plans per policy, collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, and provide in-service nutrition training to food service personnel.

The Clinical Dietitian will also be responsible for designing and implementing performance improvement projects and other special projects as assigned. This may include attending daily interdisciplinary meetings, providing MNT assessments and education per policy, and making recommendations for tube feed/TPN as needed.

Out-patient and community services will also be a key part of this role, including scheduling and seeing out-patients for MNT, coordinating and providing community classes, and participating in health fairs and expos as desired.

The Clinical Dietitian will work closely with the Food Service Director, Manager, and employees to oversee the patient menu for room service, develop personalized patient menus as needed, and educate food service employees on specialized diets.

Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, completion of an approved internship, licensure with CDR, and certification as a Dietitian in the state of Utah. A food handlers permit is also required. The ideal candidate will be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress and with multiple personalities.
