Salary Range: Compensation is based on educational qualifications and experience, with rates for lab courses ranging from $75.48 to $103.03 per hour, and lecture courses from $87.88 to $118.85.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
1. Delivering high-quality instruction in Organic Chemistry courses.
2. Participating in curriculum development and revisions.
3. Offering guidance and support to students during scheduled office and lab hours.
4. Staying updated with current practices and technologies in the field.
5. Engaging in division and college committees as a contributing member.
6. Performing additional professional duties as necessary.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Master's degree or higher in Chemistry, or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry combined with a Master's degree in a related field such as Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Physics, Physics, Molecular Biology, or Geochemistry.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students and staff.
Skills and Abilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Experience or academic preparation for teaching Organic Chemistry at the college level.
- Proficiency in small-scale organic synthesis techniques.
- Familiarity with spectroscopic and chromatographic methods.
- Effective teaching strategies that engage students in their learning process.
- A commitment to staying current in the discipline and related instructional technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
