Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality speech-language therapy services to students with identified speech-language impairments at the Tennessee Virtual Academy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and provide individualized therapy services to students with speech-language impairments.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address students' communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with student support teams and response to intervention processes to ensure effective support for students.
  • Manage speech-only caseloads and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide training and support to students and families on the use of alternative augmentative communication devices.
  • Maintain accurate records and files for reference and compliance purposes.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay current on best practices and convey information to colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Three years of experience in speech-language work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) due process requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and deliver speech-language services.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Management experience in a virtual or educational setting.

Work Environment:

This is a home-based position that requires the ability to work independently and maintain a professional home office without distraction.
