Job Description

As a Server at Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every guest has a personalized and memorable experience. Our team is dedicated to sharing traditions, authentic food, and love, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion and values.

Our menu features a wide range of Neapolitan-inspired dishes, including wood-fired pizzas, pastas, antipasti, salads, sandwiches, desserts, craft cocktails, wine, beer, and espresso. As a Server, you will guide our guests through their dining experience, ensuring that every moment is special.

**Compensation:**

  • $17.25 per hour base wage
  • Tip-pool share based on hours worked and a three-tier merit system based on skills and value alignment. Estimated tip share of $5-$6 per hour at start. Top-tier Bartender/Baristas can expect to earn a tip-pool share of $11-$14 per hour.
  • Our tip-pools reflect our values of shared responsibility and equity, distributing all tips collected during each two-week pay period evenly to all tip-eligible employees based on hours worked and a service tier that is based on demonstration of skills and living our values at work.

**Benefits:**

  • Access to health insurance coverage after 6-months with an average of 30-hours per week. HMO Medical insurance premium is 50% employer-paid. PPO medical, dental, and vision available at the employee's cost

**Requirements:**

  • At least 2 years of experience in full-service dining room environments.
  • The ability and desire to contribute to a superior dining and drinking experience for every Tutta Bella guest by anticipating and responding to their needs.
  • A proactive communicator who will call out barriers to their team's success and be part of solutions.
  • Someone who will hold themselves and others to high levels of reliability.
  • Passion for food and beverages that translates into caring about the quality of the drinks and dishes that we serve.
  • A mindset that thrives in high-volume situations, and also remains engaged and active during slower times.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and improve as a part of the dining room team.
  • A willingness to follow all food and workplace safety policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of our guests and team.
  • A sense of responsibility to ensure cash and credit card payments are handled correctly.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.

**What You Will Learn in Your First 90 Days:**

  • Become familiar with Tutta Bella's culture, value, and mission and how they contribute to our guest-first attitude.
  • Learn about the true Neapolitan pizza experience and how we share that with our guests.
  • Learn our menu items and about the high-quality ingredients that go into our food and beverages.
  • Our practices for reservations, wait lists, and seating.
  • Our levels of bussing and how to perform required sidework.
  • Our process for handling takeout orders.
  • All about our Amici guest rewards program.
  • Basic wine service etiquette and service.
  • Our Seven Engagements of Service and how they come together to create superior guest experiences and smooth shifts.
  • What our seasonal menu tempo is like and how we feature these special items.
  • Develop an understanding of how we evaluate performance and provide daily constructive feedback.
  • Learn our daily operating procedures and how the Server role fits into the restaurant as a whole.
  • How we turn guest complaints into brand loyalty opportunities.
  • Learn about Tutta Bella's community giving programs.
  • Become familiar with our employee policies and practices, including dress code, grooming requirements, and scheduling.
  • How to use Toast tablets and handhelds as both our Point-of-Sale and time clock systems.
  • Be introduced to our periodic inventory process.

**Physical Demands:**

  • Servers are expected to work on their feet for up to 3 hours at a time.
  • The position requires frequent crouching, lifting, and carrying.
  • Servers must be able to lift up to 40 pounds without undue strain.
  • This position requires repetitive hand and wrist motions.

**Work Environment:**

Servers are expected to work shifts during all hours of operation, including evenings, weekends, and most holidays. Availability restrictions are considered on a case-by-case basis. This position also requires table service outdoors in various temperatures. Work is occasionally performed around sharp and potentially hazardous equipment, including pizza ovens, deli slicers, and large-volume mixers.
