Pharmacist - Patient Care Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, as well as maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Regulatory Requirements: Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to controlled substances and patient confidentiality.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients and customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Personnel Management: Supervise and develop your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking medications, supplies, and equipment.
- Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of your pharmacy by managing costs, improving efficiency, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate risks to the pharmacy, including those related to inventory, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Workflow Management: Develop and implement efficient workflows to ensure the smooth operation of your pharmacy.
Requirements:
- Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA)
- Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree
