Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Emerald Grande. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and property structures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Respond promptly to work orders and emergencies, following safety protocols as needed.
  2. Conduct regular maintenance of electrical systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  3. Inspect and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  4. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine lubrication to extend equipment lifespan.
  5. Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors to ensure timely ordering of parts and supplies.
  6. Support the setup and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems as needed.
  7. Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  8. Inspect and repair alarm systems, including carbon dioxide and fire protection systems.
  9. Perform manual repairs, including fixing locks and repairing bathroom fixtures.
  10. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and facility.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of OSHA compliant workplace safety practices and excellent communication skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple demands with a high degree of professionalism.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of maintenance technician/mechanical experience. Forklift experience and operator certification are preferred.

Language Skills

You must be able to read, write, and comprehend English fluently, with the ability to effectively present information to guests and coworkers.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a variety of settings, including cold refrigerated areas and outdoor environments in all weather conditions. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
