Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our donation center team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our donation trailer/pod.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Ensure the donation trailer/pod is clean and organized at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Courteously assist donors in the receipt of donated items and provide receipts.
  • Sort and Process Donations: Separate and sort donated materials into the proper containers and stack them as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Support Team Operations: Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as needed and inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out.
  • Secure the Donation Trailer/ Pod: Ensure the donation trailer/pod is secure and locked at the end of each shift.
  • Meet Physical Demands: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 75lbs. with or without assistance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
