Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Plant Operations Specialist to join our team at Blythe Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for the start-up and operation of hot mix asphalt mixing plants, ensuring the production of high-quality asphalt products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain hot mix asphalt mixing plants to produce high-quality asphalt products.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Department to ensure that all asphalt products meet the required standards.
  • Assist in the ordering and management of materials and supplies necessary for plant operation.
  • Participate in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with road crews and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the successful operation of the asphalt plant.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • At least three to five years of experience in asphalt plant operations is required.
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt production processes and safety protocols is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.
Working Conditions

The Asphalt Plant Operations Specialist will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, exposed to various weather conditions and physical demands. The ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work at heights is required.
