Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Steward to join our team in Springfield, VA. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our data management practices, developing and maintaining data standards, and ensuring data is protected and compliant with company regulations and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data standards to ensure accuracy and consistency of data management practices
  • Ensure data is protected and compliant with company regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging best practices in data management, governance, quality, and stewardship
Requirements
  • 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of experience and professional certifications/trainings)
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • At least five (5) years of experience in data management, data governance, or data stewardship roles, preferably in a complex organizational environment
  • Proficient in SQL and have foundational understanding of database technologies with the ability to analyze and profile data
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and their impact on data management practices
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data quality concepts
  • Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and adept at problem-solving to address data-related issues and coordinate the implementation of data improvement initiatives
