Key Responsibilities

- Install and configure new software releases, perform system upgrades, assess and apply patches, and troubleshoot software-related issues.
- Conduct system backups and recovery operations.
- Maintain data integrity by monitoring system configurations and data files.
- Identify and rectify vulnerabilities within the system.
- Engage in comprehensive planning for large systems and subsystems.

Support the transition of cutting-edge research into operational applications, specifically in water prediction, ensuring a dependable operational framework.

Facilitate a technical infrastructure essential for marine environmental applications.

Required Qualifications
  • Proficient in: Linux (RedHat), Apache, Nagios, NetBackup, BIND, Clustering, Tenable.
  • Experience with: DevOps, Docker, Gitlab, Storage is advantageous.
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in systems administration.
  • Proven ability to design IT infrastructure across diverse geographic locations.
  • Extensive experience with Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level tools for IT system patching.
  • Experience in system monitoring and related solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Senior positions will require expertise in Tenable and vulnerability resolution.
  • Senior roles may also involve additional tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet.
