Inventory Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Clerk to join our team at Virgin Hotels.
This role is responsible for ensuring the highest level of inventory integrity, identifying and resolving inventory-related issues, and driving improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical inventories and research inventory variances
- Perform computer data entry using Stratton Warren/MMS and Aptech Accounting System
- Track all inventory arriving and departing the warehouse and create/update charge to the correct departments.
- Perform and document inventory control operations in accordance with quality control and department policies and procedures
- Assist with Month End Closing and reconciliation of Food, Beverage, Retail, and other inventories
- Check warehouse for any items that need to be returned and/or damaged items
- Maintain item master, Stock Control, and MMS Master Files with Warehouse Manager and purchasing team
- Review and monitor inventory for proper rotation and accurate stock dating in conjunction with Warehouse Manager
- Monitoring and reporting of par stock and operating inventory levels in all bars and restaurants
- Assist retail employees on cycle counting, auditing, researching, data entry, customer returns, shortages, and inventory adjustments
- Continuously strive to upgrade skills and capabilities to be able to handle new assignments and responsibilities consistent with company's needs
- Assist in special projects as required by Management

- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory procedures and controls as it pertains to a Hotel/Casino with emphasis on Food, Beverage, Retail operations
- Experience with MMS, and Excel preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

Work in an environment that is subject to varying noise levels, the severity of which depends upon work volume
Effectively and efficiently move from floor to floor as needed
Move up to 40 pounds to be able to perform inspector and utility duties as needed and perform necessary inventory checks
Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction, work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and pet dander/hair
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, and maintain physical stamina and mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods
