Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at CAE USA Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and selecting vendors, negotiating prices, and administering orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Discuss cost, delivery, and vendor capability information with internal customers.
  • Research and identify potential vendors.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and purchase orders.
  • Administer and maintain orders.
  • Establish and maintain good vendor relationships and satisfy internal customers.
  • Discuss invoicing discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
  • Renew expired contracts with vendors.
  • Resolve problems related to poor product quality, order inconsistencies, and damaged products in collaboration with the Quality Assurance department.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required.
  • BA or BS in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of related experience.
  • Experience with FAR Part 15 cost/price analysis of proposals from suppliers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented and dependable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Federal Contracting.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Experience with conducting price analysis of proposals from suppliers.
  • Ability to manage time and occasionally conflicting priorities.
  • Deltek Costpoint ERP experience.
Security Responsibilities

The successful candidate must comply with all company security and data protection policies and procedures. This includes proper marking and handling of all information and materials, and not divulging any information outside the company without management approval.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment and requires the ability to sit for long periods, climb stairs, and work overtime as needed.
