Pediatric Medicine Support Professional

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Medicine Support Professional to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate efficient patient flow, preparing patients for visits and providing specific services and education as determined by healthcare providers.
  • Perform administrative duties, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information, including electronic health records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, reporting equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, demonstrating empathy and respect.
  • Collect and monitor patient data, reporting findings and needs as directed.
  • Document care and services provided, adhering to documentation guidelines and standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
  • One of the following certifications required within 120 days: AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 120 days.

Work Environment

This role is a full-time position with a variable schedule, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
