Pediatric Medicine Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Medicine Assistant to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional clinical support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care services.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate efficient patient flow, preparing patients for visits and providing specific services and education as determined by our healthcare providers.
- Perform administrative duties to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information, including maintenance and monitoring of electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, work area, and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, demonstrating empathy and respect.
- Collect and monitor patient data, reporting patient needs and documenting care according to established guidelines.
- Contribute to process improvement activities, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and maintaining the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
- One of the following certifications required within 120 days: AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, NAHP NRCMA, or AHA/ARC BLS.
This is a full-time position with a variable schedule, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
