Job Overview

Position Summary: Oversees the operations of the Food & Beverage division, working under the guidance of the department manager, while adhering to established company protocols and relevant regulations.


Compensation:
$18/hr.

  • Delivers exceptional guest service to both internal and external clients, embodying the #AddLife culture in all interactions.
  • Facilitates guest service training and departmental orientation for new hires.
  • Collaborates with the manager to provide ongoing training for all staff members.
  • Ensures the dining area is properly set up and prepared for service.
  • Supervises side work responsibilities and opening/closing tasks.
  • Coordinates with fellow F&B Supervisors and Managers regarding work schedules, food ordering, and inventory levels.
  • Assists in the setup and breakdown of private events.
  • Fosters a supportive and motivating environment for team members.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive information in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Assists the manager in evaluating activities across reporting areas to enhance staffing levels, working conditions, and overall guest service quality.
  • Monitors the performance of subordinate employees to ensure adherence to management standards.
  • Addresses issues within the scope of authority and recommends solutions for matters beyond that scope to the supervisor.
  • Oversees daily departmental activities in compliance with established company policies.
  • Keeps the supervisor informed of relevant departmental activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities:
Each team member is responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including:

  • Participating in mandatory training sessions provided by the company.
  • Obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses.
  • Executing duties in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring minors are not permitted in gambling areas, consuming alcohol, or purchasing tobacco.
  • Understanding the ordinances, regulations, and policies relevant to the department.
  • Being aware of the property’s programs addressing problem gaming.
  • Reporting any known acts of misconduct.

Position Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience. Must be capable of articulating ideas and making independent decisions.

Virginia Racing Commission License
Serv-Safe Certification


Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinates who may oversee other employees.
