POSITION SUMMARY
Under the clinical oversight of the Nursing Director, the incumbent is tasked with providing patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role also involves directing and guiding patient education initiatives and supporting staff, while upholding professional nursing standards. Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems is expected throughout the execution of duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The following criteria outline the minimum qualifications. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
LICENSURE: Current, valid Illinois State Registered Nursing License
CERTIFICATION: Current CPR Certification
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited Nursing School
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of clinical experience; experience in correctional nursing is advantageous
