Security Framework Development:
Design and execute security architecture strategies to safeguard IT systems and sensitive information.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Oversight:
Spearhead compliance initiatives with standards such as NIST SP800-53, HIPAA, and others. Provide expert insights on risk evaluation and management.
Technology Deployment:
Leverage your knowledge in virtualization, containerization (Docker), cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and encryption technologies to bolster security measures.
Incident Management & Recovery:
Direct disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, ensuring systems are resilient and can swiftly recover from security breaches.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Partner with various teams to advance security initiatives and contribute to day-to-day tactical implementations. Lead cybersecurity projects and programs.
Audit & Control Assessment:
Review audit findings, evaluate risk factors, and ensure effective control assessments. Apply knowledge of secure application development and software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Effective Communication:
Clearly articulate complex security concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity roles with a solid background in security architecture and compliance.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are beneficial.
Technical Proficiencies:
Extensive knowledge of IT systems, including virtualization, containerization, cloud services, and encryption.
Proficient in both Windows and Linux server environments.
Strong grasp of identity and access management, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks.
Compliance Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of pertinent regulations and frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, etc.).
Analytical Abilities:
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Communication Skills:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information effectively.
Desired Experience:
Familiarity with Criminal Justice Information Systems and experience leading cybersecurity projects.
