Our diverse portfolio, multiple operational sites, and unique multidisciplinary team distinguish us in the renewable energy sector.

We are an innovative and dynamic company committed to excellence, collaboration, and fostering positive change within the renewable energy industry.

Role Objective

This role collaborates seamlessly across multiple functional teams, including Development, Engineering, Accounting, Financial Planning, and Legal, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Civil Engineering.

This position emphasizes the design of civil site features for utility-scale and distributed generation solar energy facilities, including grading plans, hydrological engineering, stormwater management plans, and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans. All designs must comply with Conditional Use Permits, building permit conditions, and other site-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Format construction plan sets and maintain AutoCAD template files.
  • Complete redlines based on feedback from Engineers, Developers, and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
  • Review and interpret Geotechnical and Wetland Delineation Reports to support cost-effective solar facility deployment.
  • Produce cut/fill plans and quantities using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software to ensure compliance with mounting system slope tolerances and optimize foundation material costs.
  • Participate in the development and management of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), along with erosion and dust control measures for each project.
  • Interpret and explain project documentation, focusing on fulfilling all permit and site requirements through a value-driven design approach.
  • Research and recommend strategies to meet DOT, utility, stormwater, and erosion control requirements for various state and county AHJs.
  • Support the Civil Engineering team during formal project design reviews and Investment Committee presentations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT Certification is required, with preference for candidates pursuing Professional Engineering licensure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with MIDS/P8/Winslam is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with HEC-RAS or Flo2D modeling is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Experience with Google Earth or other mapping/GIS tools, along with the use of public resources such as federal, state, and county databases.
  • Experience in site grading and drainage calculations, plan preparation, site hydrology calculations, and developing draft reports for review.
  • Hands-on surveying experience is beneficial.
  • A proven ability to deliver efficient, timely, and reliable service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, with an interest in participating in company-sponsored Volunteer Time Off and Community Engagement initiatives.
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on getting the job done correctly.
  • Demonstrated integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility.
  • A willingness to contribute to a culture that values trust and accountability.
  • Ability to travel and access various project sites, requiring frequent travel of up to 1-2 weeks per month or approximately 20% of working time; must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Compensation and Benefits
