Position Overview

As a Senior Commercial Operations Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the wholesale power commercial functions at ENGIE. Reporting directly to the Commercial Coordination Advisor, your responsibilities will encompass the onboarding of new renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage, into ENGIE's established operational frameworks. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting issues and exceptions that arise during the ongoing management of these generating assets in various power markets across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document the progress of critical components during the late-stage commissioning of new energy projects.
  • Input progress data into tracking systems and generate comprehensive reports for executive teams involved in operations, trading, and asset optimization.
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation for both new and existing processes related to Independent System Operator (ISO) Settlements and Power Scheduling.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related analytical discipline.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven analytical thinking skills and the capacity to present ideas in a professional manner.
  • Experience in preparing user documentation for systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including building reports and utilizing Pivot Tables.
  • Familiarity with generation metering and power scheduling across various ISOs.
  • Understanding of 24-hour power dispatch operations and ISO market regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $62,400 - $95,450 USD annually. This range reflects the average expected compensation for qualified candidates, with actual salaries influenced by factors such as geographic location, experience, and education.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan. ENGIE offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with company matching.
