Job Overview

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) is a recognized leader in the field of environmental consulting and engineering. We are currently seeking a qualified Environmental Engineer to contribute to environmental remediation projects in Southern California. This position is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates located in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops comprehensive remediation strategies and specifications to identify effective environmental solutions.
  • Designs remedial systems for smaller-scale initiatives under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Manages the installation, operation, and maintenance of remedial systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepares detailed proposals and cost assessments for medium-sized projects.
  • Coordinates construction efforts during the installation of smaller remedial systems.
  • Acts as the engineering resource for project teams on smaller assignments.
  • Supports senior engineers on larger-scale projects.
  • Supervises remedial technicians in their operational and maintenance tasks.
  • Plans and executes pilot testing activities to inform field-related decisions.
  • Generates quarterly reports for submission to regulatory bodies.
  • Engages in both office and fieldwork to meet project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Mechanical).
  • 4-10+ years of relevant experience is essential. Experience in providing engineering or remediation support in Oil & Gas or industrial sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong technical writing, decision-making, and time management skills are required.
  • An E.I.T. or P.E. certification (California) is highly desirable.
