Electrical Product Certification Specialist

At R. STAHL, we are seeking an Electrical Product Certification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Department, you will be responsible for performing unit reviews required per the R. STAHL ETL panel shop program. Your primary objective will be to ensure compliance with the ETL panel shop program and maintain records necessary for compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform unit reviews required per the R. STAHL ETL panel shop program in support of the Quality Department.
- Develop procedures and quality standards for the effective review of products that are to be listed in the ETL panel shop program.
- Maintain records necessary for compliance with the ETL panel shop program.
- Assist with audits applicable to the ETL panel shop program.
- Assist in the review of developed design and project specifications to North American and International standards.
- Understand and assist the R. STAHL design and development department in adjusting and updating existing products for North American market requirements.
- Assist the Development team and the Test Lab in product evaluations with regards to standard requirements and potential third-party evaluation.
- Coordinate, communicate, and update R. STAHL-GmbH on ongoing certification projects.
- Participation in national standards committees as assigned.
- Cooperation with and support of product management and marketing.
- Support of Quality Supervisor.
- Support of Development Supervisor.
- Support of application engineering.
- Support the global R. STAHL organization in National Electrical Code and Canadian Electrical Code product application questions.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proficiency in office management software (MS Office) and CAD programs.
- Ability to travel, approximately 15% - 30%.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, particularly in communicating technical details, both written and spoken.
- Multiple years of experience in design and development of electrical products and systems.
- Ability to apply required standards and utilize them in assisting with design applications and product certification.
- Ability to instruct staff and coworkers on applicable standards and review their work to verify compliance.
