Career Opportunity
We are recruiting for the position of Group Life Counselor I, II, or III in our Behavioral Health Department in Seattle. This role involves working with high-risk youth and adults suffering from substance abuse in a residential setting.
Job Summary
The Group Life Counselor will be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team providing direct services to patients. These may include group care, intake procedures, evaluation, individual and group counseling, milieu management, and supervision of patients.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or related field; or at least two years' experience working with high-risk populations
- Must have good character, physical health, emotional stability, and personality suited to meet the needs of the adolescent population served
- GLC II requires B.A. degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or has at least two years of experience working with high-risk youth
- GLC III requires B.A. degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Addictions, or related field; Associates degree in Chemical Dependency and at least two years' experience in working with at-risk population
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly rate: $20.04 - $22.97. We offer an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, long term disability, EAP, paid-time-off, 10 paid holidays, and 401(k)/Retirement options.
About the Role
This is a full-time position available immediately. The successful candidate will work closely with CDP in treatment activities and facilitate treatment educational groups with individuals.
