About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to provide and direct speech therapy services to patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong passion for patient care, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating patients to determine communicative deficits and equipment needs;
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment programs based on initial evaluations;
  • Providing instruction and supervision to aides as needed;
  • Maintaining accurate and timely departmental records;
  • Documenting progress notes and discharge summaries;
  • Orienting residents to program services and procedures;
  • Working collaboratively with nursing staff and families to maximize patient functional abilities;
  • Assisting with referrals and maintaining current knowledge of community resources;
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and attending department meetings;

In exchange for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $73,500 - $92,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on national averages for Speech Language Pathologists in Michigan.
