Job Summary

As a Lead Phlebotomist in the Department of Laboratories at Stony Brook Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing clinical services to our population. Your expertise in safe laboratory practices, as endorsed by the New York State Department of Health, will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain specific knowledge of safe laboratory practices as endorsed by the New York State Department of Health
Provide clinical services to our population
Collaborate with the phlebotomy team to ensure efficient and effective blood collection
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field
2+ years of experience in phlebotomy
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
Excellent communication and leadership skills
