Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive patient care support, coordination of unit activities, and continuous monitoring of cardiac rhythm strips.
Responsibilities- Document vital signs, intake and outputs, and patient activity.
- Notify RN of problematic IVs and discontinue peripheral IV sites.
- Accurately locate patients within the computer system.
- Respond to call lights and incoming phone calls.
- Obtain, interpret, and accurately document cardiac monitoring data following standard protocols.
- Document changes in heart rhythms according to policy.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Successful completion of Monitor Tech Training within 6-months of hire or pass standardized exam if experienced Monitor Tech.
- Successful completion of required new hire tech onboarding training within 30-days of hire.
- State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant/Nursing Assistant Certificate or a Patient Care Technician preferred.
- One (1) year of monitor technician or PCT experience preferred.
