  • Delegate tasks and supervise nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical records, physician orders, and nursing care plans to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand medical records, physician orders, and nursing care plans.
  • Minimum of one year previous gerontology experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic drugs in current use and drugs commonly used in geriatric practice.
  • Current RN permits or licensure issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners in the State of Texas to practice nursing.

Work Environment:

This role is based at the Villa de Matel Center, a central gathering place for our Sisters and their ministries, a retirement center for the Sisters, and a retreat center for the public.
