Job Title: Adolescent and Young Adult Psychotherapist
Job Summary:
Fenway Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Adolescent and Young Adult Psychotherapist to join our multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical services to clients, including diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical services to clients, including diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy.
- Help clients address a range of personal issues and life events, including coming out, coping with self-esteem issues, seeking more satisfying relationships, living with HIV, addressing substance use or other addictive behaviors, coping with depression and anxiety, grieving the death of a loved one, coping with and recovering from violence, living with major mental illness.
- Acquire and hone clinical knowledge and skills in providing trans and gender-affirming care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in mental health care.
Requirements:
- Independent licensure in social work or other mental health field.
- Proficiency in mental health assessment/evaluation and mental health work with adolescent/youth populations.
- Knowledge of a variety of mental health approaches.
- Ability to maintain up-to-date case records.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with colleagues, patients, clients, and vendors across the spectrum of diversity.
- Willingness to contribute towards Fenway's efforts in becoming an anti-racist organization and promoting a culture dedicated to ongoing development in service of humility, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LICSW Licensure.
- Previous experience in outpatient therapy settings.
- Experience with LGBTQIA+ issues, HIV, and trauma.
- Experience with substance use disorders, short-term interventions, and group work.
