Job Title: Adolescent and Young Adult Psychotherapist

Job Summary:

Fenway Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Adolescent and Young Adult Psychotherapist to join our multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical services to clients, including diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical services to clients, including diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy.
  • Help clients address a range of personal issues and life events, including coming out, coping with self-esteem issues, seeking more satisfying relationships, living with HIV, addressing substance use or other addictive behaviors, coping with depression and anxiety, grieving the death of a loved one, coping with and recovering from violence, living with major mental illness.
  • Acquire and hone clinical knowledge and skills in providing trans and gender-affirming care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in mental health care.

Requirements:

  • Independent licensure in social work or other mental health field.
  • Proficiency in mental health assessment/evaluation and mental health work with adolescent/youth populations.
  • Knowledge of a variety of mental health approaches.
  • Ability to maintain up-to-date case records.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with colleagues, patients, clients, and vendors across the spectrum of diversity.
  • Willingness to contribute towards Fenway's efforts in becoming an anti-racist organization and promoting a culture dedicated to ongoing development in service of humility, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LICSW Licensure.
  • Previous experience in outpatient therapy settings.
  • Experience with LGBTQIA+ issues, HIV, and trauma.
  • Experience with substance use disorders, short-term interventions, and group work.
