Compensation is based on experience: $17-20 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the kitchen and cooking environment is maintained in a safe, organized, clean, and sanitary condition.
  • Prepare delicious meals and cook a diverse range of foods in substantial quantities.
  • Adhere to established menus and portion control guidelines.
  • Accurately prepare special dietary meals.
  • Document food temperatures for all prepared meals.
  • Prepare pureed food items as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across all departments.
  • Maintain appropriate sanitizer solutions in cleaning buckets.
  • Assist in serving various meals to residents.
  • Clean the cooking area and serving carts thoroughly.
  • Report any resident care concerns and potential issues to the Administrator and/or Director of Nurses.
  • Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
  • Present food in an appealing manner to residents.
  • Exhibit a cooperative attitude.
  • Willingness to supervise and work under guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with all cleaning schedules.
Required Qualifications:
  • Prior cooking experience is essential.
