Job Title: Data Architect

At Pira Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team of professionals. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our existing applications workflows, automation, and customizations of our ERP and internal Infrastructure systems.

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and coordinating all data integration uses, reporting, and security. This will include creating policies and procedures to ensure system updates and security in accordance with industry best practices, planning outage and maintenance windows, writing code and queries to automate existing or requested workflows, managing the Data Services Team, and maintaining data integrity in accordance with best practices and our Business Continuity Plan.

Research and Development:

The Data Architect will also be responsible for researching, analyzing, and developing new solutions and applications to improve workflows, automate, report, and optimize data systems. This will involve conducting initial scoping and assisting in drafting proposals for new projects or features using ITIL standard project management methodologies, creating plans, prototyping solutions in the lab, creating communication plans and executing them with affected stakeholders, and implementing solutions.

Training and Development:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for training personnel in the use of software as it applies to the position. This will involve assessing personnel as to the level of training required and providing the training.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of the NIST framework and standards, Cisco hardware and configuration skills, wireless technology and radius authentication, infrastructure security including firewalls, antivirus, and other schemes to ensure security and a safe computing environment. They will also possess strong critical thinking skills, strong customer service skills and demonstrated responsiveness to customer needs, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to partner with end users to deliver strategic solutions.
