About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Servicing Specialist to join our team at Customers Bank. As a key member of our mortgage servicing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our mortgage loan servicing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and respond to customer inquiries and service requests related to mortgage and escrow accounts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Responsible for customer mortgage loan servicing, including navigating through sources of information to provide accurate and timely information to customers.
  • Promote understanding of the mortgage process and account information to customers, ensuring seamless service and meeting customer service goals and standards.
  • Work within established procedures to identify and solve straightforward problems and make sound decisions, escalating more complex issues to management for review and resolution.
  • Process monthly escrow disbursements, including mortgage insurance premiums, and monitor mortgage insurance files to ensure timely release of insurance fees.
  • Review escrow and delinquent tax reports for accuracy and complete all management-approved extensions and modifications following regulatory guidelines to mortgage loans.
  • Process mortgage releases for paid-off mortgage notes and conduct a second review of loans booked to the core system to ensure input accuracy.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of banking experience, with a strong background in mortgage loan servicing.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Bilingual, fluent in Spanish, is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of mortgage loan products and services, as well as mortgage and escrow servicing procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a keen attention to detail and sharp mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
