Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. The successful candidate will work directly with customers and engineering firms to respond to technical questions and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide design submittal drawings in a timely manner that accurately reflect specified designs.
  • Work with the proposal and sales engineer to ensure that the design reflects agreed-upon design elements.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure that the design approval process moves forward in a timely manner.
  • Design with lessons learned in mind and work with the quality manager to address quality and reliability issues.
  • Develop designs that ensure reliability, compliance to industry standards, and conformance to applicable industry standards.
  • Provide adequate design detail for production and ensure part numbers are accurate and provided for key components.
  • Assist operations with alternate component designs and suppliers when availability of specified or approved components becomes problematic.
  • Stay abreast of the latest component technology, test methods, and applicable industry standards and incorporate into designs as required.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 4+ years' experience in practical design engineering and high voltage testing.
  • A strong background in AutoCAD is required.
  • The ability to switch between multiple projects quickly and provide team members with detailed technical support in both the design and debugging stages of the project is required.
  • Written and oral communication skills with marketing, applications, engineering, manufacturing, service, and department directors to define and modify product or process specifications.
