Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the testing protocols and configuration of the EMI/EMC environmental testing area and systems.
  • Work closely with design engineers to establish specifications for EMI/EMC testing equipment, identify suppliers, validate equipment, and integrate into production.
  • Design and create test configurations and fixtures for engineering development and qualification assessments.
  • Conduct EMI/EMC evaluations, analyze test outcomes, and compile test reports for stakeholder review.
  • Lead investigations into root causes for issues related to EMI/EMC testing equipment, fixtures, and procedures.
  • Develop guidelines, standards, and tools for testing operations and associated processes.
  • Execute EMI/EMC assessments for both development and qualification hardware.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a testing environment.
  • Proficient in radiated and conducted testing adhering to EMI/EMC standards (MIL-STD-461, FCC, CISPR, CE, etc.).
  • Experience with RF testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and power amplifiers.
  • Understanding of antennas and electromagnetic propagation up to 67GHz.
  • Familiarity with best practices in an anechoic chamber.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in automating laboratory measurements using Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Background in addressing EMI/EMC challenges for high-power electronics.
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (CST, HFSS, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret PCB schematics, electrical interface diagrams, and mechanical CAD documents.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments and utilizing Python.

Astranis's salary ranges are informed by professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will be influenced by various factors including experience, credentials, educational background, skill level requirements, and the scope of the position.
