Key Responsibilities:
As an automotive technician at Midas, you will be responsible for a diverse range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks, including:
  • Performing diagnostics
  • Tire services and repairs
  • Heating and air conditioning systems
  • Steering and suspension work
  • Belts and hoses maintenance
  • Radiator and engine cooling systems
  • Batteries, starting, and charging systems
  • Brake services and repairs
  • Oil change services
  • Check engine light diagnostics
  • Muffler and exhaust system services
  • Conducting visual safety and courtesy inspections
Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to repair vehicles independently, along with experience in a collaborative team setting
  • Strong knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust systems, suspension, and engine diagnostics
  • Demonstrated track record of high personal productivity
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental standards applicable to repair facilities
  • Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
  • State-specific automotive repair certifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Possession of personal tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner/tools preferred)
  • Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
