We are looking for a meticulous and committed Meat Processing Equipment Operator to contribute to our operations at Ham Slicess LLC. In this position, your primary duties will include slicing dry-cured meats, packaging and labeling products, preparing customer orders, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, tools, and workspaces after each processing shift. You will be expected to comply with the Quality and Food Safety standards set by the company, consistently maintaining the highest levels of quality.
The key responsibilities include:
- Operate meat slicing machinery to cut dry-cured meats according to established specifications.
- Package and label products, ensuring adherence to company guidelines.
- Efficiently prepare and pack customer orders with precision.
- Daily cleaning and sanitization of all equipment, tools, and work areas to uphold a hygienic environment.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, or cross-contamination while handling meat and operating slicing machines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage and maintain supply inventory.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with meat slicing and cleaning/sanitizing equipment.
- Ability to make necessary adjustments to the slicing machinery.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Availability to work as scheduled.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to quality.
- Robust work ethic with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Basic understanding of local food safety regulations.
- Previous experience in a food production setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of operating a forklift and pallet jack is a plus, but not required.
